Every week fantasy owners have tough decisions to make. Whether it is who to start in their FLEX spot or if they should start a less quality player against a weaker defense. I will be giving my fantasy followers my solo rankings based on PPR scoring. As an added bonus I will explain my favorite match up for each position. If you have more specific questions regarding fantasy football and my rankings, ask me on twitter (@MikeSports22) and as always happy hunting fantasy friends.

My Favorite Quarterback Matchup

Ben Roethlisberger @ Texans: Normally fantasy owners want to avoid Roethlisberger on the road, but this week the matchup is just too appealing. The Texans rank 31st in the league against opposing quarterbacks, giving up an average of 19.2 fantasy points per game. Meanwhile, Roethlisberger is averaging 24.9 fantasy points per game over his last five games; scoring at least 18 fantasy points in each game. The loss of Antonio Brown hurts Roethlisberger’s upside but the he has been on fire lately and the Texans secondary just gave up 24.8 fantasy points last week to Blake Bortles.

My Favorite Running Back Matchup

Todd Gurley II @ Titans: Coming off a 45 point fantasy performance in just three quarters of play, Gurley should be the top ranked running back this week. The Titans rank 6th in the league against opposing running backs, giving up an average of just 21.3 fantasy points per game. However, Gurley has scored at least 21.8 fantasy points in three straight games. For the season, Gurley is averaging 22.2 touches a game and with that kind of volume fantasy owners should expect a fourth straight game with 21.8 or more fantasy points.

My Favorite Wide Receiver Matchup

JuJu Smith-Schuster/Martavis Bryant @ Texans: The Antonio Brown injury hurts the Steelers and the fantasy value of Ben Roethlisberger, but it seriously increases the value of Smith-Schuster and Bryant. Sunday against the Patriots, Smith-Schuster was on the field for 100% of the snaps and Bryant was on the field for 57% of the snap; ranking first and second among wide receivers. Fantasy owners got 17.4 fantasy points from Smith-Schuster and 15.9 fantasy points from Bryant on Sunday. The Texans rank 28th in the league against opposing wide receivers, giving up an average of 35.4 fantasy points per game. Furthermore, the Texans just gave up 57.8 fantasy points to the Jaguars receivers minus Marquise Lee last week. Both Steelers wide receivers are top 20 options this week.

Meanwhile, the Jets ranks 21st in the league against opposing D/STs, giving up an average of 7.8 fantasy points per game.
