If you would have told me even a quarter of what has happened within the first 8 weeks of this fantasy football season I would have had you thrown into an insane asylum. The injuries?! The Raiders?! More injuries?! Kaepernick benched for Gabbert?! Denver’s D?! I can’t take it! And now we’re almost to the NFL trade deadline but nothing major will happen…..right? Expect the unexpected my friends.
Week 9…..Let’s go!
BYES: Detroit, Kansas City, Seattle, Arizona, Baltimore, Houston
QB, Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
Matty-ice has been pretty cool as of late with some sub-par performances and you might be inclined to bench him. Give him another week to make it up to you. The 49ers are starting Blaine Gabbert this week so the offense should get some extra possessions off of turnovers. Should be a nice turnaround game for Ryan.
RB, Jeremy Hill/Giovani Bernard, Cincinnati Bengals
Start the two-headed monster….either of ’em. Cleveland comes to town on a short week and I expect both of these guys to get touches and points. Everyone in the Cinci offense should have points this week.
WR, Malcom Floyd, San Diego Chargers
Keenan Allen is going to be out for a few so Floyd should slide into the top target slot for the CHargers and Philip Rivers. He had 92 and 2 TD’s last week. He’ll get a ton of targets Monday night against Chicago.
TE, Larry Donnell, New York Giants
Listen, I’m not a fan of Donnell but this just feels like a game Eli is going to use his TE. Remember last year @ Washington? I think this is Donnell’s flashback.
D/ST, New England Patriots
I think the Patriots ALREADY scored on the Redskins and it’s Tuesday. What is Washington and Kirk Cousins going to do down 17 before the game even starts? Yup, throw some INT’s trying to get back into it.
QB, Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers
Nothing against him but I just think he’s come back a little too soon from his injury to be truly effective. It showed last week. Until he proves he’s healthy keep him on your bench.
RB, Frank Gore, Indianapolis Colts
Denver’s D is for real! Indi’s O is in shambles. No brainer
WR, Brandon Marshall/Eric Decker, New York Jets
Do you know who’s playing QB for the Jets this week? Neither do they!
D/ST, New York Jets
Jacksonville is actually pretty good on offense and I’d expect the Jets’ defense to be on the field a ton this week.
