Week 6 was interesting to say the least. Fantasy football aside, did you see Floyd Mayweather cashed in on a $600k bet on Denver at -7.5 after Geno Smith threw a pick-six at the end of the game. Personally, I’m never that lucky. Guess the old adage is true: “money goes to money.”

Week 7 brings us some interesting matchups and with Philadelphia and Tampa Bay on a bye you may have to do some clever waiver maneuvers. Here are some guys I’m targeting and sitting for week 7:

QB, Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens

The guy has been pretty hot as of late but was extremely impressive in week 6. There is a good chance he’s still available on waivers so get that claim in. He has a dismal Atlanta defense this week to feast on and his future matchups look pretty good as well. Valuable pickup going forward.

RB, Lamar Miller, Miami Dolphins

Knowshon Moreno came back last week only to be extremely ineffective. Miller received most of the touches against Greeen Bay and put up decent numbers. Chicago doesn’t scare me as they can be gashed. Miller could still be available on waivers so if you need a boost this week he could be a nice fill in.

WR, Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants

Yes, I know, he’s in my starts again for a second straight week. And yes, I know, poor output last week against Phili. However, Victor Cruz went down for possibly the year so Beckham immediately gets a target boost. His lack of output against Phili wasn’t his fault as ELi had no time to throw. The Giants will be ready for Dallas next week and Beckham should shine.

TE, Jace Amaro, New York Jets

QB Geno Smith had eyes only for Amaro last Sunday against Denver who had 10/68/1. This week against the Patriots I’d bet that Amaro is the only guy remotely open. Not that I trust Geno Smith but Amaro is going to get a ton of targets. That’s all you can ask for.

D/ST, Buffalo Bills

Minnesota is a mess and I will pretty much take any defense going againt them right now.

QB, Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

He’s probably NOT your starter but if he’s your backup due to a bye week or injury I’d still stay away. JJ Watt will be in town this week and I’d expect Big-Ben to be on his back quite a bit.

RB, Eddie Lacy, Green Bay Packers

This is strictly a gut feel. Lacy had a weak day at Miami and I just think Rodgers is in a passing groove right now. Carolina isn’t too shabby up front. I’m just feeling Lacy has another 40-50 yard game with no TD’s.

WR, Roddy White, Atlanta Falcons

He’s just not the same anymore. Even the Bears defense limited him last week and Julio Jones is just demanding the looks from Matt Ryan. You can’t trust him.

TE, Julius Thomas, Denver Broncos

OK….I don’t expect you to SIT Thomas but I wouldn’t expect a ton of output. San Francisco is allowing the 7th fewest fantasy points to TE’s. Peyton Manning will be finding his WR options open more than Thomas. Just be aware of a limited output.

D/ST, Cleveland Browns

The Browns bottled up the Steelers pretty well last week. Up next is a game in Jacksonville and I fully expect the defense to come away with some turnovers and points against the Jags.
