Every week fantasy owners have tough decisions to make. Whether it is who to start in their FLEX spot or if they should start a less quality player against a weaker defense. This week Breaking Football is changing things up. I will be giving my fantasy followers my solo rankings based on PPR scoring. As an added bonus this week I will explain my favorite match up for each position. If you have more specific questions regarding fantasy football and my rankings, ask me on twitter (@MikeSports22) and as always happy hunting fantasy friends.

My Favorite Quarterback Match Up

Deshaun Watson vs Browns: Coming off back to back 33 plus fantasy points games, how can you not love Watson this week against the Browns? Since taking over as the starter, Watson is averaging 26.8 fantasy points per game and only has three turnovers. Watson gives fantasy owners the added bonus with his legs; averaging 40.8 rushing yard per game as the starter to go along with two rushing touchdowns. The Browns rank 29th against opposing quarterbacks giving up 20 fantasy points per game. If Watson has under 25 fantasy points this week against the team that trade their chance to get him away, it will only be because the Texans run the ball the whole second half.

My Favorite Running Back Match Up

Ameer Abdullah at Saints: After coming off back to back double digit fantasy performances, Abdullah had a season low 4.4 fantasy last week against the Panthers. This week he should bounce back against the Saints, who rank 27th in the league giving up 27.9 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. The Lions haven’t had a 100 rushing yard running back in 56 straight games. The last Lions running back to reach 100 rushing yards? Reggie Bush in 2013. Abdullah has a real chance to break the century mark this week.

My Favorite Wide Receiver Match Up

Davante Adams at Vikings: After leaving week four with a scary injury, Adams returned in week five with a bang. Against the Cowboys, Adams had seven catches for 66 yards and two touchdowns, including the game winner; finishing the game with 25.6 fantasy points. This week he faces a Vikings defense that ranks 20th against opposing wide receivers, giving up 33.4 fantasy points per game. Jordy Nelson will likely see plenty of Xavier Rhodes, leaving Adams facing off against Trae Waynes; one of the most targeted cornerbacks in the league. Adams should be in line for another big game, and could finish with another top five performance this week.

Tight Ends
Rank Name Team Opponent
1 Rob Gronkowski Patriots at Jets
2 Zach Ertz Eagles at Panthers
3 Travis Kelce Chiefs vs Steelers
4 Evan Engram Giants at Broncos
5 Jordan Reed Redskins vs 49ers
6 Austin Seferian-Jenkins Jets vs Patriots
7 Kyle Rudolph Vikings vs Packers
8 Delanie Walker Titans vs Colts
9 Cameron Brate Buccaneers at Cardinals
10 Hunter Henry Chargers at Raiders
11 Jared Cook Raiders vs Chargers
12 Jack Doyle Colts at Titans
13 Ed Dickson Panthers vs Eagles
14 Benjamin Watson Ravens vs Bears
15 Coby Fleener Saints vs Lions
16 David Njoku Browns at Texans
17 Austin Hooper Falcons vs Dolphins
18 Eric Ebron Lions at Saints
19 George Kittle 49ers at Redskins
20 Zach Miller Bears at Ravens

My Favorite Tight End Match Up

Evan Engram at Broncos: Yes last week Engram had zero points against the Chargers, but now his situation has totally changed. Engram now has to step up as a focal point of the Giants passing attack. Over the first four games of the season, Engram averaged 11.3 fantasy points per game. This week Engram faces the Broncos, who rank 27th in the league against opposing tight ends, giving up an average of 15.1 fantasy points per game. I expect Engram to be targeted plenty this week and make the most of his targets.

D/STs
Rank Team Opponent
1 Broncos vs Giants
2 Texans vs Browns
3 Jaguars vs Rams
4 Ravens vs Bears
5 Falcons vs Dolphins
6 Redskins vs 49ers
7 Rams at Jaguars
8 Panthers vs Eagles
9 Browns at Texans
10 Bears at Ravens
11 Eagles at Panthers
12 Cardinals vs Buccaneers
13 Titans vs Colts
14 Patriots at Jets
15 Vikings vs Packers

My Favorite Defense/Special Teams Match Up

Texans vs Browns: Despite losing both J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus for the season with injuries, the Texans have good match up this week against the Browns’ terrible offense. Opposing defenses have registered 14 sacks and 13 turnovers against the Browns’ 31st ranked offense so far this season. The Texans should lead this game from the beginning forcing the Browns to abandoned the run leading to more sacks and turnovers for the Texans defense.

Kickers
Rank Name Team Opponent
1 Stephen Gostkowski Patriots at Jets
2 Justin Tucker Ravens vs Bears
3 Matt Bryant Falcons vs Dolphins
4 Wil Lutz Saints vs Lions
5 Ryan Succop Titans vs Colts
6 Matt Prater Lions at Saints
7 Dustin Hopkins Redskins vs 49ers
8 Giorgio Tavecchio Raiders vs Chargers
9 Harrison Butker Chiefs vs Steelers
10 Jake Elliott Eagles at Panthers
11 Graham Gano Panthers vs Eagles
12 Greg Zuerlein Rams at Jaguars

My Favorite Kicker Match Up

Stephen Gostkowski at Jets: With two straight weeks with 15 fantasy points, Gostkowski is currently tied for third in fantasy points per game among kickers. This week he faces the Jets in a game that is expected to be a blowout. The Patriots are expected to score plenty of points and whether it is on field goals or extra points, Gostkowski will be kicking plenty on Sunday.
