Can we promote Philip Rivers enough these days? The San Diego Chargers star quarterback has one loss on his record so far this year, took down the Seattle Seahawks in impressive fashion and overall has been one of the most consistent players in all of fantasy football. This week he faces the New York Jets’ banged up secondary and he does so on his home field. There’s little reason to expect anything but awesomeness out of Rivers this week, and regular season fantasy players need to keep him in their starting lineups.
It gets better. In DFS fantasy football – specifically over at Draft Kings, Rivers is still dirt cheap. The value is insane this week especially, which begs for you to make Rivers your top passer to use in week five. He’s just one of the many value buys, though. Rivers indeed heads my list of top value buys at Draft Kings, but he’s just one of many options that are cheap and should pay off in a big way. That naturally depends on whether or not you’re prepared to trust my insight and weekly player rankings, but if you do, then you may want to pay attention to my DK value buys.
Of course, as awesome as this fantasy tool is, there can be some glitches in the data. For one, I’m not actually overly high on Blake Bortles or Antonio Gates this week, but it’s obvious their prices are super low. That again does technically make them value buys. I’m not really shooting for Colin Kaepernick against a Chiefs defense that obliterated Tom Brady, either.
With that said, I’m all for Rivers and I also like Rashad Jennings, Markus Wheaton and Delanie Walker A LOT for week five. This converter also has my highest ranked players below the value buys, which should also come in handy as you make your final fantasy football decisions this week:
