In the first three weeks of the 2014 NFL season the injuries are piling up so don’t be surprised if your waiver wire crashes. Your moves and pickups are what separate the men from the boys in fantasy so here’s who I’m banking on this week to keep my points up.
QB, Teddy Bridgewater, Minnesota Vikings
With Cassel out Bridgewater gets his shot. Teams are going to have to prepare much differently for Minnesota now that they have a mobile QB. Im betting Bridgewater fills in nice and adds a new dimension to the offense.
RB, Donald Brown, San Diego Chargers
With Woodhead and Matthews out, Brown should have to shoulder the complete RB duties against the lowly Jags. He’s a must start this week
WR, Steve Smith, Baltimore Ravens
Steve Smith? Really? You say….I say YES! Look who the Ravens are playing this week……his old team the Panthers. Smith wants this game BAD! I think the Ravens will use Smith’s motivation to their advantage. I think he has a huge game.
TE, Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers
Not much to go on with one catch last week but how can he not get targets against Jacksonville. It’s just too tempting
D/ST, San Diego Chargers
They are available on a lot of waivers so with Jacksonville coming to town how do you not like the matchup
QB, Tom Brady, New England Patriots
With some big name QBs on a bye this week, you may be forced to play Brady. Don’t do it! It’s moreso the issues with the Patriots’ offensive line. Im just not confident
WR, Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers
He might be your WR3 but I wouldn’t play him this week. He’s the only true WR threat Carolina has aside from TE Olsen. Benjamin will be bottled up this week against Baltimore
WR, Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jackson is practicing with a fracture in his wrist. He had a TD las week but Ill bet Pittsburgh keeps him in check. Too risky for me
D/ST, San Francisco 49ers
High powered Philadelphia comes to town and all they do is put up points. Enough said.
