While 13 points (standard leagues) isn’t what you would have expected from Hilton through the first 2 games of the 2015 fantasy football season, he remains a must start and quality WR1 on your fantasy team for many reasons.

First off, he has been nursing a knee injury and should be at full health in week 3 against the Tennessee Titans. Speaking of the Titans, he finally faces a favorable matchup after going up against arguably two of the best cover men in the league to start the season (Stephon Gilmore and Darrelle Revis). In their week 4 matchup last season, Hilton went for over 100 receiving yards for his first big game of the season. Prior to that, he started off slow like he has to this point.

Unexpectedly, the Colts have started the season 0-2 after coming into the season as a heavy favorite in the AFC. They enter week 3 with a chip on their shoulder and a lot to prove. Andrew Luck has played poorly in the team’s losses to start the season and looks to revitalize his season. The Colts are going to win the game through the air against Tennessee, and not only Luck, but Hilton is set for a big day. With 21 targets in two games, Hilton is still Luck’s go-to receiver and could be primed for a huge explosion.

To recap, here’s why T.Y. Hilton will breakout in week 3:

  • 100% health
  • Favorable matchup
  • Due for big performance
  • Most targeted WR on team

It may have been frustrating to this point as an owner of Hilton, but he’ll make it worth it this week. Based on the reasoning above, I’ll project a 16-18 point game from Hilton as he goes for around 100+ receiving yards and his first TD grab of the season.
