So, apparently, Tom Brady read this article last week as I had him in the “SIT” section; which pissed him off. He threw for 466 and 3 TD’s. However, if you started QB Colin Kaepernick or TE Richard Rodgers you were rewarded for the play.

As we look to week 3, some interesting and already important division games are on the slate. The 2-0 Cowboys and Falcons meet. The ‘Skins are at the 0-2 Giants. The 2-0 Bengals face the 0-2 Ravens. Interesting games bring interesting game matchups so let’s see who we like and dislike for week 3 in our start and sit calls:

START

QB, Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers

Big Ben to Antonio Brown just doesn’t get old in Pittsburgh. RB Le’Veon Bell returns to a running game that has been surprisingly stellar in his absence. Ben has multiple weapons on his side. Even though the Rams’ D is pretty solid, it won’t be good enough to stop Ben.

RB, Ronnie Hillman, Denver Broncos

Hillman has been putting the pressure on starter C.J. Anderson and has outplayed him for the most part. I think you’ll see Hillman have another impressive day and take over the starting role after the Broncos beat the Lions on the road.

WR, Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals

Fitz is looking like the receiver of old now that QB Carson Palmer is back. These two veterans are really in sync and are complementing one another perfectly. Look for Fitz to keep rolling as a solid WR2 or FLEX play.

TE, Larry Donnell, New York Giants

Right around the same time last year, Donnell lit up the Redskins. I’m sure the ‘skins remember but I have that eerie feeling it’s going to happen again. The Giants are desperate for a win and I think Donnell is a big contributor this week.

D/ST, Atlanta Falcons

On paper, a matchup with the Cowboys doesn’t look good. Take away QB Tony Romo and WR Dez Bryant. Now, insert Brandon Weeden at QB. I like Atlanta’s chances for some turnovers.

SIT

QB, Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions

Stafford is questionable for the Sunday night game at home against the Broncos. He is dealing with a rib injury but took part in the Monday walkthrough. I don’t care if he plays or not. The Broncos defense has been very good early on and if Stafford takes a few early hits, he could be out of the game. It’s too risky a play in my book.

RB, Matt Forte, Chicago Bears

QB Jay Cutler is out a few weeks with a hamstring injury. Enter Jimmy Clausen. Not Good! This week brings on the Seattle Seahawks who are 0-2. Double not good! You can guarantee the Seahawks are going to focus on Forte and try and make Clausen beat them throught he air. It’ll be a tough go for Forte.

WR, Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders

You may be high on him after last weeks strong performance against the Raiders. Week 3 against the Browns brings on a matchup with Joe Haden. I’m not so thrilled about that matchup.

TE, Jordan Cameron, Miami Dolphins

I have a feeling Rex and the Bills are pretty sick of the TE position after last weeks loss to the Patriots. Buffalo should be back on their game and ready to stop a surprisingly inept Miami offense.

D/ST, St. Louis Rams

Week 3 brings a matchup against the Steelers. RB Le’Veon Bell returns this week; and fresh from a suspension. The Rams’ D is pretty good but if the Steelers mix a hot Williams and a rested Bell it could be a long day.
