Fantasy football playoffs are starting this week or in the next week or two depending on how your league does it. If you are in the playoffs you are going to want to make sure you get these guys in your lineup. Or, if you are already out of the playoffs you can ease your pain by winning some money in DFS by getting some of these guys in your lineup!

Tyrod Taylor, Buffalo Bills, Quarterback

Now this might seem like a stretch, but remember that the Philadelphia Eagles gave up five touchdown passes in consecutive games before beating the Patriots last week. The Eagles also give up the third most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Now focusing on what Taylor does well, Taylor really doesn’t throw interceptions very often, and is capable of scoring points with his legs in addition to his arm. Taylor has scored over 25 points in consecutive weeks against two of the NFL’s best defenses in the Chiefs and the Texans, and has scored the third most fantasy points out of all quarterbacks over the last two weeks. Taylor is the guy in DFS this week, and I really believe that he will be the top scoring quarterback this week.

Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Running Back

Doug Martin is blessed with a great matchup this week, as he takes on the Saints, who have the third worst fantasy defense against running backs. Martin is the obvious choice for this week, with a lot of other great running backs facing tough matchups. Tampa is a hot team right now, and New Orleans showed off last week that they are not ready to roll over yet, so I expect that this game will be a solid offensive outing by both teams. Martin will be poised for at least 100 yards and a touchdown this week.

Sammy Watkins, Buffalo Bills, Wide Receiver

Two Bills on the list!? No I’m not crazy, well maybe I am. I am talking to myself here after all… But obviously Taylor being the highest scoring quarterback relies on him throwing the ball effectively, and I think Sammy Watkins is going to be a huge part of the game on Sunday. Watkins has three touchdowns and almost 270 yards over the last two games, and once again, that was against very tough matchups. I think the Taylor – Watkins connection is one that will be strong for years to come, and they are starting to show it off now. If you haven’t watched any Bills games this season, treat yourself to the Sammy Watkins show on Sunday.

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs, Tight End 278

Kelce hasn’t lived up to his expectations this season, but at the end of the day he is still capable of scoring a lot any given week. I think this is one of those weeks, as the Chiefs are coming into this game red hot. It is worth noting that the Chargers give up the eighth most points to tight ends, while giving up the 27th most to wide receivers. Which to me means that the tight end sees a lot more opportunities when teams play the Chargers. With a super cerebral quarterback like Alex Smith I expect the check down throw to come early and often. I’d also expect upwards of 100 yards and at least one touchdown out of Kelce this week.

Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers, Kicker

Crosby scored 18 fantasy points a couple of weeks ago, and this week he has the opportunity to face a Cowboys team that gives up the most fantasy points to kickers. The Cowboys D looked pretty good last week, but they are suffering from a short week, while the Packers are coming off of a long week. This will make the Cowboys D a little more tired than the Packers, which should offer Green Bay plenty of opportunities on the Cowboys side of the field. Also the Cowboys offense will have to deal with being tired and having to play a Green Bay D that has had three extra days to prepare than the Cowboys have had.

Seattle Seahawks Defense

This pick is a no-brainer as the NFL’s best defense plays what may be the NFL’s shakiest offense in the Ravens. The Ravens have lost all three of their top offensive players this season, and consequentially have become a very unthreatening team. I expect interceptions and sacks galore, and I wouldn’t be surprised at fumbles and a defensive touchdown to boot. When the best defense has a matchup this easy you got to go with them.
