As the season winds down, we don’t typically hear many trade rumors as most teams shift their sole focus on reaching the post season. That’s not the case in New Orleans. Brandin Cooks has voiced his frustration with his role in the Saints offense which could potentially lead to trade talks this upcoming offseason.

The Saints drafted Michael Thomas in the 2nd round this past April, and he has emerged as the top weapon for Drew Brees in the passing game. Cooks currently ranks 2nd in receptions and receiving yards on the team behind Thomas. His impact from a week-to-week basis has been “hit or miss” as fantasy owners probably know.

Cooks was linked to trade rumors with the New England Patriots prior to the deadline a few weeks back. They stand as a possible suitor along with a team like the Philadelphia Eagles who are desperate for WR help.

The 23 year old has proved to be a dynamic playmaker during his 3 years in New Orleans. He possesses tremendous speed and is lethal with the ball in his hands. Serves as a good deep threat and can even play from the slot. Coming off a 1,000 yard season, he has compiled 2,424 receiving yards and 18 TDs before the finish of his 3rd season.
