The season is starting to wind down, and that means that games are becoming increasingly important. It’s the time of year where the elite level players have to push their game to the next level. So I’ve got the list of guys that I think are going to make that push this week, and be the top fantasy scorers of their respective positions.

Tom Brady, New England Patriots, Quarterback

Tom Brady is going to be the top scoring quarterback this week? Go figure… Brady takes on a team this weekend that I’m sure he has a serious bone to pick with in the New York Giants. Not mention that the Giants currently give up the 6th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. By the weeks end 20 fantasy points will be far back in the rear view mirror for Mr. Brady.  This would be a week worth going after Brady in DFS leagues.

Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Running Back

The Cowboys have been horrendous defensively this season, especially against the run. Meanwhile Doug Martin has seen a career resurgence over the last several weeks. Last week was a bit of a dip for Martin, but I believe he will bounce back this week with a strong performance. I’m estimating Martin will put up anywhere between 100 and 200 total yards and one to three touchdowns. An absolute must start, and another guy worth targeting in DFS.

Allen Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars, Wide Receiver

Allen Robinson is benefiting from having a tremendous matchup this week. The Ravens give up the second most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. Besides the tremendous matchup Robinson is also benefiting from Blake Bortles being on top of his game right now. Last week Bortles threw for a career high 381 yards, and I imagine this week will be another track meet. Lots of offensive points to be had by both teams.

Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots, Tight End

Tom Brady’s favorite target is also on the list this week. The Giants give up the third most fantasy points to tight ends this season, which should spell disaster for the New York squad. Gronkowski is one of the only players in the league that can be the top scorer at his position regardless of matchup, so when he has a matchup this good you got to take him. There are better value guys in DFS leagues, but Gronk should be the highest scorer.

Justin Tucker, Baltimore Ravens, Kicker

As I said in the Allen Robinson write up, I see this game being a track meet. But the Ravens are going to have a harder time finding the end zone. That’s why I think Tucker will be the top scoring kicker this week. Tucker will just see more opportunities than other kickers. Tucker is THE GUY to target at kicker in any fantasy format.

St. Louis Defense

I’m assuming Matt Forte isn’t playing this weekend, but even if he is I still like St. Louis’ defense a lot. The formula Chicago used last week of “throw it to Alshon one million times” won’t work against a defense as well rounded as the Rams. I would expect the Rams to get at least one interception, multiple sacks, and hold the Bears to a low score.

Are there any players you would want to switch out for someone else? Let us know who, and why in the comments!
