It is a do or die year for Bears Wide Receiver Kevin White. He is in his third season with the Bears after being the 7th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. His career numbers aren’t good, considering he has had two freak injuries.
#Bears WR Kevin White’s injured leg progress is still a mystery coming in.
He sat out OTA’s yesterday. Very concerning already in 2017! pic.twitter.com/z2KPUoUkpq

In two years he has 19 receptions for 187 yards. He needs to have a big year (600-800 yards) in 2017 to not be considered a bust. He was asked about what he thought about people that said he was a bust, he just chuckled. He is confident he can come back and make a huge impact, and I’m sure the Bears and QB Mike Glennon hopes that too.
The Bears are hoping White can have a Cam Meredith type of year as he emerged last year with the absences of White, Jeffery, and Royal. Chicago lost Alshon Jeffery to the Eagles, but they signed Markus Wheaton, Kendall Wright, and Victor Cruz to counter. They have those three guys and Cam Meredith, and the hope that White can break out and fulfill his hopeful role as the team’s #1 WR. The Bears have plenty of targets if they can all stay healthy. It will be interesting to see how it plays out, and if White can live up to his top 10 draft slot.
