The Carlos Hyde show continues on in week two. Backup running back Reggie Bush won’t be around to siphon carries behind Hyde, as a calf injury he suffered in the San Francisco 49ers’ week one win will keep him out of the team’s contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Per reports, Bush won’t even make the trip to Pittsburgh, leaving just Jarryd Hayne and Mike Davis behind Hyde in the San Francisco offensive backfield.
Reggie Bush is not going to Pittsburgh with the 49ers, coach Jim Tomsula announced Friday. Rather, Bush will… http://t.co/qLYciJGPuE

For better or for worse, Bush’s injury keps Hyde in a major role. That figures to be a good thing for the 49ers a week after he hung 168 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the Minnesota Vikings, while a week two matchup against a soft Steelers defense certainly bodes well. Hayne figures to be sprinkled in as Hyde’s main backup, but it’s likely San Francisco’s top rusher will touch the ball 20+ times in week two.
If you weren’t jumping about the Carlos Hyde hype train, perhaps now is the time. Everything is shaping up for Hyde to be a RB1 again this week, as the talent, role and matchup are all there. It’s certainly possible he bottoms out on the road, but San Francisco seems like a team with a serious chip on it’s shoulder right now. Hyde is obviously a strong start in season long fantasy leagues going forward, but he’s especially a tantalizing play in daily fantasy football leagues. Hyde is just $5.1k over at DraftKings this week, making him arguably the top value at the running back position.
