The San Diego Chargers will have to get by without starting tight end Ladarius Green in week three, as Antonio Gates’ replacement has been ruled out due to a concussion issue. Green sustained his second concussion in as many weeks earlier this week and was highly questionable to take the field against the Minnesota Vikings all week. The team finally officially ruled him out on Sunday morning.

With Green out, the Bolts will likely turn to shifty running back Danny Woodhead and slot man Stevie Johnson for more looks in the passing game, while starters Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd can also expect to be a little more involved.

Fantasy Insight

San Diego doesn’t really have an option behind Green at tight end, so this news trickles down to Woodhead and Johnson more than anyone else. Already solid PPR options even with a healthy Green on the field, both of these guys are strong options across the board in fantasy football this week. They’re especially fun tries in daily fantasy football, where they’re dirt cheap in salary cap games. Keenan Allen also has a chance to bounce back from his major dud performance of a week ago.
