Another week of CFL is HERE!!! Week 16 is upon us! The East is pretty much all sewn up barring a miracle run by the Argos. The race for the crossover spot is FLAMING HOT in the West.
BC (6-6), Winnipeg (6-7) and Edmonton (7-6) are all in contention for the 3rd place seed in the West and the crossover spot. Edmonton is currently in 3rd place and BC has the crossover spot but things could change after this weekend’s match-ups.
Cheers to the weekend, CFL action is here!!
Toronto Argonauts vs. Calgary Stampeders, Friday (9/28), 9 PM ET, ESPN+
DURON CARTER IS STARTING!!! It’s about time the Argos play their best player on the team. He’s had ample time to learn the playbook and now it’s time for him to ball. If MBT can get him the ball, that is.
Calgary could the first team to clinch their playoff spot with a W. Coming off of a bye week, I will not bet against the Stamps.
British Columbia Lions vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Saturday (9/29), 4 PM ET, ESPN+
Crossover spot on the line for BC. After their comeback W in OT last week, they get to travel to vengeance-driven Hamilton who has virtually nothing to play for besides getting hot for playoffs. BC can still improve their playoff position which is why they are playing hard now. Jonathon Jennings is starting to get hot at the right time. And Tyrell Sutton and Jeremiah Johnson is a very dangerous duo in the backfield.
But who knows what will happen in a rematch.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. Edmonton Eskimos, Saturday, 7 PM ET, ESPN+
After getting beat by the hottest kicker in the CFL right now in Lewis Ward, Edmonton is going to look to score some points this week. Both teams are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive as their key players battle injuries as well. Winnipeg got back on track with a win against the punching bags of Montreal but MTL has nothing to play for.
These are 2 teams hungry for a chance to knock down teams in their path to the Grey Cup. Winnipeg better feed Andrew Harris like they did earlier in the season.
Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. Montreal Alouettes, Sunday (9/30), 1 PM ET, ESPN2
Riders or Punching Bags? Come on. Even watching for Johnny Manziel is a stretch at this point in the season. But it is on ESPN2 so everyone will have a chance to watch.
I hope the Riders eat his lunch.
Enjoy all games at every level folks!!! Fall football is here!
