There were a lot of fantasy points scored on Thursday, but I can assure you there are plenty more fantasy points to be scored this weekend. Whether you are in the hole from Thanksgiving Day or out ahead, you are going to want to make sure you get these players in your lineup if you can. If you can’t use them in regular leagues, considering paying up for them in daily fantasy football in week 12:
Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals, Quarterback
Palmer has been one of the premiere fantasy quarterbacks this season. Palmer scored over 20 fantasy points in his last two games, and that was against top-level NFL defenses in Seattle and Cincinnati. This week Palmer has an extremely favorable matchup against the lowly San Francisco 49’ers, and with all of the weapons available in the Cardinals offense I’m expecting another multiple touchdown-no turnover day. With Brady playing against the powerful Broncos D, and with Cam Newton already playing yesterday, Palmer is the consensus number one quarterback this weekend.
Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings, Running Back
Obviously not going out on a limb here in saying that Peterson will be the top scoring running back this weekend. But when you look at the stats it seems like a no-brainer that Peterson will outscore his peers this weekend. Peterson has touchdowns in each of his last three games, and this weekend is playing against the fifth worst fantasy defense against running backs. The Falcons have allowed running backs 13 touchdowns in 10 games this season. So it is safe to say that Peterson scores at least one touchdown, and I expect him to get two or three and break 150 total yards.
Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants, Wide Receiver
In each of Beckham’s last three games he has broken 100 receiving yards, and has scored four touchdowns in that span. The Redskins give up the sixth most points to opposing wide receivers and the third most touchdowns to wide receivers, which should spell a good day for the sophomore wide receiver. Beckham and the Giants are also coming off of a bye week, so they should know the Redskins defense very well, and should be well rested coming into this one.
Delanie Walker, Tennessee Titans, Tight End
This is a week for a player besides Gronkowski to take over the top spot. Walker has been on an absolute roll lately, and the Tennessee offense has been running through the tight end. Over the last three weeks Walker has had 256 receiving yards and three touchdowns, and this week Walker has a more favorable matchup than he’s had all season as Oakland gives up the third most fantasy points to tight ends this season. Walker is a great guy to target in DFS as well as he is slightly less expensive than the top guys, and I think he will score the best.
Josh Brown, New York Giants, Kicker
Brown has been kicking up a storm as of late and it’s for a number of reasons. One, the Giants have been playing against poor defences, and two, the Giants don’t have a ton of red-zone options. O’Dell Beckham is really the only great red zone weapon the Giants have. I expect this game to be a total track meet, both teams to score in the vicinity of 40 points. I think Brown will kick at least three field goals, and at least three extra points.
Arizona Cardinals, Defense
The Cardinals are definitely the consensus number one defense this weekend. They are playing against the lowly 49’ers who have had an embarrassing season. San Francisco gives up the fifth most fantasy points to defenses, and Arizona has been absolutely merking fools all year. When these two teams met earlier this year Arizona was able to win 47-7, and while it is hard to predict a beat down of that magnitude again, I really wouldn’t be surprised if it happened again.
