Ben Roethlisberger was injured in the Steelers Week 3 game against the St. Louis Rams, and will not return to the game. His left knee bent awkwardly as a stumbling Mark Barron fell against Roethlisberger’s leg. He immediately went down, and his teammates signalled for help. Roethlisberger was helped off the field and carted to the locker room.
It looks like it’s a serious injury, and possibly could end Big Ben’s season after just three games. Before going down, Roethlisberger had completed 20-of-24 passes for 194 yards. Michael Vick has taken over as the QB for the rest of the game.
Huge. Big Ben got hit in the side of his left knee and it did not look good. This has torn knee ligaments written all over it and if Ben Roethlisberger’s 2015 season isn’t completely over, it’s at least extremely likely he’ll miss some time. Michael Vick is suddenly going to be a hot waiver wire add – at least tentatively – as he’s going to be operating a high octane offense and obviously has a big arm and some running ability. It’s impossible to know just yet how serious Ben Roethlisberger’s injury is, but picking up Michael Vick is a good idea if you can do it before Sunday’s games are through. Vick is obviously also a solid flier pickup even if you don’t own Big Ben.
