After being limited in practice all of last week with a hamstring injury, the trend will continue for Houston Texans starting running back Arian Foster. As we reported yesterday, it is important to note that this hamstring is the same one that he had an issue with during the preseason, so this may be a bit more serious than advertised.
Foster remains day to day for now and will be a game time decision come Sunday for the Texans matchup against the 1st place AFC East Buffalo Bills. Head Coach Bill O’Brien said that will Foster will most likely workout in pregame warmups and a decision will be made from there. Luckily for fantasy owners it is a 1:00 ET game, so you will be able to fill his spot if he can’t go.
If in fact Foster can’t play, Alfred Blue will be the starting running back for Houston just like last week against the Giants. He ran for 78 yards on 13 carries, lacking any real flash or power. With Foster sidelined, Blue would see the bulk of carries leaving him as an RB3/low end RB2 with slight upside. The Bills have been stout against the run, ranked 6th in the NFL, holding opposing teams to 83 yards per game on the ground.
