We all knew Jacksonville’s passing offense would be subpar this year led by Blake Bortles, but it didn’t take long for that unit to take a hit.
On just the third play of he game, Allen Robinson was hurt following a 17 yard reception to convert on 3rd and 2. Robinson was eventually able to walk off the field after being attended to by the medical staff. Robinson was taken to the locker room for tests, and we will have more on his injury once more information surfaces.
With Robinson out, you could make the case that the Jaguars have one of the worst offenses in the league. Bortles will now lean on Allen Hurns and Marqise Lee through the air. Neither the most enticing of options, but both could serve as solid FLEX plays depending on matchup.
Depending on the situation of Robinson, the running game would take a big hit as well as defenses will gameplan more-so on stopping Leonard Fournette and the running game with no dynamic weapon in the passing game. With his workload, his production could be very 2016 Todd Gurley-esque.
UPDATE: Reports are citing a torn ACL for Robinson, which would keep him out the rest of the season. He is set to undergo an MRI on Monday.
